Penny Porter has published stories in a wide range of national magazines, including Reader’s Digest, Arizona Highways, American Heritage, Catholic Digest, Guideposts, Woman’s Day, Honda, etc. and her work has appeared in international anthologies, world wide text books, and fourteen Chicken Soup for the Soul books.  The recipient of Arizona Highway’s 2001 Silver Award for Excellence in Writing, Penny is the author of six books.  A mother of six, grandmother of eight, great-grandmother of one, former teacher and school administrator, she is a frequent speaker at writers’ workshops and seven times President of The Society of Southwestern Authors.
